Undie Sunday
It was a clothing drive with a twist recently for Hope Community Church's Undie Sunday on July 25th. While most clothing banks do not accept undergarments, Hope Community Church wanted to do a clothing drive specifically featuring new and unused undergarments. Some guests even showed their spirit by wearing boxer shorts over their pants! The group meets every Sunday at Castlebridge Public School, and on Undie Sunday, nobody arrived empty-handed! By the end of the morning, the massive pile of packaged undergarments was definitely something to be proud of. Hope Community Church hosts two Undie Sundays a year; the one in July which has a 'Christmas in July' theme, as well as one at Christmas time. Garments collected went towards the Open Door at Square One. For more information, visit www.undiesunday.ca or www.hopecommunitychurch.ca.Garments collected went towards the Open Door at Square One.
