Alicia, Abby, Jett and Warrior Executive Claire were all excited they won the ball tossing contest

OMFL Championship Games

It was a sea of red and white on the Sunday afternoon of August 3, as football mania took to the field. The stands were full of fans who were cheering and supporting their family members in the Mississauga Warriors White and Red Atom Teams who played against each other for the OMFL (Ontario Minor Football League) championships. Families gathered on the stands, some brought their lawn chairs with their pom poms, and others brought their beloved pets with them to give the two teams their full support. It was a beautiful, sunny day and kids got a chance to get their faces painted, enjoy the cold treats from the snow cone machine, and participated in ball throwing contests where lots of great prizes were won. Lots of yummy snacks and beverages were served at the halftime rush, as everyone watched the halftime football toss and the Toronto Argonaut Cheerleaders. The Red Atoms took the trophy home with a winning score of 13-6 and the successful day couldn’t have been done without the help of all the wonderful volunteers. The Warriors would like to say thanks for all their help.
