Chartering of Leo Club in Mississauga
It was an evening of celebration as the new Leo Club came to Mississauga on August 13, at the Square One Older Adult Centre. The two Lions clubs, The Lions Club of Mississauga Credit Valley and The Mississauga Central Lions Club were pleased to announce the formation of a Leo Club in the City of Mississauga and also sponsored the new club for the younger people ages 15 to 20 years of age. The evening started off with dinner and desert as everyone gathered and socialized. It was led by the initiation of the new Leo Members by Leo District Chair Tertia Knight assisted by Leo advisor's Lion Niles Shaw and Lion Jeff Friedman. A certificate of membership was given out to the lion’s newest members and a true lion’s roar was greeted with an enthusiastic loud roar. The Lions Club is one of the largest community services in the world.
