Christmas Lunch and Dance

The inviting and familiar smell of fresh roasted turkey and all the trimmings filled the air and warm smiles and friendly faces filled the room as guests entered Square One Older Adult Centre. Live, jovial, melodious jazz, provided by Excelsior Jazz Band, soothed the ears while influencing the body to get up and jive. This was Square One Older Adult Centre’s Annual Christmas Lunch and Dance, where members and guests enjoyed a scrumptious traditional turkey dinner and delightfully tasty desserts. There was line dancing, performed by the Square One Line Dancers Club, and a special performance of a few tender jazz songs by Chartwell’s Senior Star, Phyllis Styles, accompanied by Excelsior Jazz Band. The occasion was light-hearted and fun-filled for all, definitely a great way to kick off the Christmas season.
