2008 November > Doors Open Mississauga - Meadowvale A blast into the past ,yet still a chance to learn about the present, was seen throughout Mississauga as the event Doors Open Mississauga went under way. This year the Meadowvale community was focused on as the goal to bringing culture alive. People got a chance to explore businesses, places of worship, heritage sites and private gardens to help them truly get to know the community of Meadowvale a little more and a chance to see all it has to offer. One really cool aspect of this event - the cemetery tours! Actors were available to teach you a little bit about some of the people who have passed on and now lie in that cemetery. A drop-in event was offered at Meadowvale Village Hall for displays and children’s activities. It was a great day for all the members of Meadowvale community to help not only shape their community but show it off to all its visitors.
