2008 November > Launch of Rogers' Pumpkin Patrol SNAP, along with other members of the media, was invited to cover the 24th Annual Rogers' Pumpkin Patrol Safety Presentation at Peel Children’s Safety Village on Thursday, October 16, 2008. This program aims to educate parents and their children about the importance of Halloween safety. Grade 1 students from Credit Valley Public School were invited to kick off the program. Lunch was provided, along with activities for the students, followed by an information session on the importance of Halloween safety led by Wendy Cooper, Community Relations Manager for GTA, Rogers Cable. Afterwards, the kids were given loot packs containing a reflective armband and a safety tip flyer to take with them on the big night. The session concluded with the kids being divided into two groups, which alternated between driving the mini jeeps and going on a scavenger hunt in the safety village, led by members of the Peel Region Police.
On Halloween night, areas serviced by Rogers Cable, will have red Rogers vans, marked with the Pumpkin Patrol decal, patrolling and ensuring everyone stays safe.
