Seniors' Information & Active Living Fair
The Square One Older Adult Centre welcomed around 60 different service providers and companies to speak specifically to the seniors in our community about health and wellness issues. The Seniors' Information and Active Living Fair featured various health care professionals who spoke to the community about Mental Health and Addictions, Physical Activity for Seniors, Diabetes, Dental Health, and much more.
The attendees enjoyed the entertainment and refreshments. They were also given the opportunity to have their blood pressure, cholesterol and sugar levels tested. It was the perfect opportunity for seniors to gather information on health-related topics and, best of all, admission was free of charge. There were plenty of draws at the various booths, as well as many door prizes to be won for all those who came out to this fun and exciting information session.
