Huntington Disease Indy Go-Kart Challenge

The local chapter of the Huntington Society of Canada was racing toward a brighter future recently at the annual Huntington Disease (HD) Indy Go-Kart Challenge. The family event, running for over ten years, happened at Playdium Mississauga on Sunday, September 20th. Volunteers with the Huntington Society of Canada encouraged their friends, families and the community to form teams, fundraise and come out for a fun-filled day of go-kart racing. The result was a total of 24 teams registered in the race, the most to date. Guests also got to enjoy raffles, a barbecue and a giant picnic in the sun outside the track. Money raised at the event goes toward HD research, families needing assistance dealing with HD and public education about HD.
