Staff Ashley and Kari show off the snowshoes
Snowshoeing 101
It was a beautiful day for the Terra Cotta Conservation Area to host a morning of snowshoeing. Staff presented a power point introduction to discuss the history and facts about snowshoeing. Held every other weekend, the class was open to newcomers and those who have any skill. The hour and a half hike goes through the surrounding territory and trails. After plodding through the trails, students enjoyed a hot beverage with rosy noses in the Watershed Learning Centre.
