Buffalo Bills Launch YMCA Youth Zone
As part of the 2011 community partnership, the Buffalo Bills rookie players visited the Mississauga YMCA, on October 25th, to dedicate new Youth Zones and conduct a Junior Training Camp. The cameras were firing off as the players and Jills Cheerleaders posed for numerous photo-ops as they came by to inspire youth in the Mississauga community to get active with 60 minutes of physical activity a day through the Gatorade Junior Training Camp. With low rates of physical activity among school age children, the Bills Toronto Series, Rogers Centre and the YMCA of Greater Toronto have partnered up to get the kids healthy by creating a safe and exciting space for youth to feel connected, get active, and free themselves from boredom. The newly constructed Youth Zone includes an air hockey table, Pump-It-Up Pro Dance arcade machine, Nintendo Wii, foosball table and Xbox 360 Kinect video game machines.
