The Re-Trans Open Art Fuzion Event
Sharing a creative drive for a better future was the common theme of the Re-Trans Open Art Fuzion Event held during the evening on Thursday, May 7, 2009. This was a fundraising event for St. Christopher House, a neighbourhood-based, multi-service agency that has provided needed community programming in West Toronto since 1912. As a childhood participant in the programs at St. Christopher House, the President of Re-Trans Canada, Vince Cordiano, hosted this dynamic event to give back to the community agency. The main attraction featured the Fuzionists, a group of collaborative artists who together would create an artistic work on canvas for auction. Prints of the artists’ collective works were on sale; various artworks were up for silent auction; and raffle tickets were being sold. The St. Christopher House Music School gave a choir performance, “Make your Noteâ€, a musical jam session with the audience members for a suggested donation. Guests, artists and volunteers joined together to literally and artistically make a mark in the lives of others. All proceeds from this evening's events were donated to St. Christopher House.
